Guirassy with one chance after another for VfB Stuttgart

76 minutes:

Guirassy again: This time the attacker tries an overhead kick and puts the ball over the goal again.

It's VfB's turn now.

75 minutes:

How can Guirassy not do that?

Pfeiffer puts the ball through to his strike partner, who shoots clearly over it from a short distance.

That must be the lead.

70 minutes:

Now VfB!

Endo lurks by the corner at the far post and heads the ball on goal.

However, an Augsburg saves on the line.

46 minutes:

The ball rolls again.

Will VfB now reward themselves for a good first half?

Half-time conclusion:

VfB Stuttgart fought their way into the game against increasingly harmless Augsburgers and were largely convincing in the first half.

In the end, the Wimmer squad must be more ripped off.

Especially Silas, who often makes the wrong decisions in forward gear.

HALFTIME

45 minutes:

That must be the lead for VfB!

Endo sets Sosa on the left, who brings the ball sharply into the center.

Pfeiffer still misses, but the ball jumps through detours to Silas, who pulls straight away.

However, the leather flies deflected over the goal.

33 minutes:

Another long-range shot!

This time it's Stuttgart's Pfeiffer, who takes heart on the left corner of the penalty area.

The leather hisses just past the second post.

32 minutes:

The Stuttgarters are now trying to increase the tempo and largely control what is happening on the pitch.

There's a lot going around, but nothing comes of it: Ahamada's shot from a distance is too weak, so Koubek can easily pick up the ball.

26 minutes:

Another opportunity for VfB: Guirassy initiates the attack and plays the ball down the left side of Sosa's path.

The Croatian puts the ball precisely in the center of Pfeiffer, who stumbles.

23 minutes:

It's a game at eye level here, with the Stuttgarters repeatedly inviting the guests to chances.

So far, however, FCA have not been able to take advantage of this again.

The ball rolls.

WHISTLE

VfB Stuttgart are worried about Pascal Stenzel and Enzo Millot

At VfB Stuttgart, the squad is all but complete as Josha Vagnoman returned to team training on Tuesday (25 October).

However, Enzo Millot is suffering from muscular problems and Pascal Stenzel is struggling with the flu.

It remains to be seen whether the two are ready for the home game against FC Augsburg.

The game should come too early for Vagnoman.

FC Augsburg played big against RB Leipzig

At FC Augsburg the trend is downwards.

Most recently, coach Enrico Maassen's squad have not won three games in a row.

FCA suffered a 2-3 defeat at 1. FC Köln.

Augsburg drew with VfL Wolfsburg and against RB Leipzig on the previous day.

However, FCA played well against RB for long periods and led 3-0 before giving up the game in the last 20 minutes and ultimately only clinching a 3-3 draw.

VfB Stuttgart shows different faces

Stuttgart – Which face will VfB Stuttgart show against FC Augsburg on Saturday (October 29, 3:30 p.m. / Sky)?

After VfB had convinced against VfL Bochum (4:1) and Arminia Bielefeld (6:0), it rained down to a 0:5 beating at Borussia Dortmund.

In the Ruhr area, the breast ring wearers lacked any resistance.

That has to change again against the Fuggerstadt team.

Because if Stuttgart wants to stay up in the league, FCA is a competitor that should be beaten.

In addition, VfB interim coach Michael Wimmer absolutely needs results to collect arguments for his possible promotion.
