Marseille fans experienced a very complicated Tuesday evening with a home defeat (1-2) at the last second against Tottenham which eliminated them from the Champions League, but also from all European competition.
And one of the most famous of them, singer Matt Pokora, is no exception.
The artist, a declared fan of the Marseille club, even blamed the choices of coach Igor Tudor, guilty in his eyes of having left Dimitri Payet on the bench when the score was still 1-1.
“We have nothing more to lose and Tudor brings in Suarez square feet rather than Payet… I will never understand, criticized Matt Pokora, whose father André Tota was a professional footballer.
We miss the qualifying because of the gifts made in Frankfurt unfortunately.
Tonight, we were clearly at the Champions League level.

Gerson and Payet punished… it's not nice what Tudor is doing there… And the worst thing is that we were going to Europe with this 1-1… When nothing goes in your favor… Go focus championship.
Finished matches every 3 days.
No more excuses.
Goal 2nd place.

While a draw would have effectively sent them to the Europa League thanks to Sporting's defeat (1-2) against Frankfurt, the Marseillais conceded a final goal against Höjbjgerg (90th + 5) which deprived them of Europe in Spring.
They must now refocus on Ligue 1, where they remain on three defeats and a draw in four games.
OM receive Lyon on Sunday evening at the end of the 14th day.
