On the last day of the preliminary round, Dortmund was already safely in the round of 16. Copenhagen used the Bundesliga side's gentle pace so as not to have to leave the competition without scoring their own goal.

Borussia Dortmund drew at FC Copenhagen at the end of the Champions League group stage.

At 1:1, BVB took the lead through Thorgan Hazard (23rd minute), but played much weaker than the hosts.

Hakon Anar Haraldsson scored for Copenhagen (41st).

The positions in Group G were already clear before kick-off: Dortmund in second place behind Manchester City, and Sevilla FC in third place ahead of Copenhagen.

In the Copenhagen stadium, BVB was clearly the weaker team in the first half, but still took the lead after a good individual action by Felix Passlack.

The right-back dribbled to the baseline and crossed from there.

At the second post, Hazard, who again played on the left side of the back four, was able to accept the ball unchallenged and hit the goal from a slight deflection.

It was the Belgian's first goal of the season.

Copenhagen vs Kobel

Previously, Copenhagen's Roony Bardghji was free to head the ball from four meters, a strong save by BVB keeper Gregor Kobel prevented the early deficit (9th).

Again from close range Viktor Claesson became dangerous, Kobel fended off this attempt as well (29th).

The hosts' superiority in play only paid off just before half-time, when Haraldsson completed a quick play through Copenhagen's powerful left flank with a direct acceptance into the far corner.

This time Kobel had no chance.

The goal was almost overdue: Copenhagen had seven shots on target at half-time – Dortmund, on the other hand, only had one.

It was Copenhagen's first goal in the sixth group game.

With the change of sides, Dortmund's substitute keeper Alex Meyer came into play, Kobel was rested.

The game hardly changed.

Copenhagen was a little more dangerous, playful and combative, the meaningless game moved at a low level.

The interplay between Julian Brandt and Youssoufa Moukoko, who brought on BVB coach Eden Terzić in the 63rd minute, was worth seeing.

As soon as the two players were on the pitch, Brandt hung up for Moukoko, who failed to hit the right post from 17 meters (64').

Dortmund got better with the two jokers, Karim Adeyemi headed just wide in the 69th minute.

But it stayed at 1:1.
