Schönau – Joachim Löw was born on February 3, 1960 as the first son of Hans and Hildegard Löw.

The successor to former national coach Joachim Löw is Hansi Flick.
Like Löw, Flick was once an assistant coach and after a successful engagement at FC Bayern Munich he became head coach of the national team.
Hansi Flick took office on August 1, 2021. His contract runs until 2024 and therefore includes the World Cup in Qatar (2022) and the European Football Championship in Germany (2024).
Hansi Flick has installed two assistant coaches: Marcus Sorg and Danny Röhl.
