The New York Marathon, the most prestigious marathon in the world, started on November 6.
For this year's marathon, for the first time in history, an Israeli team of 65 runners will go, all of whose participants will run the full marathon course (42.2 km) as part of the 'Shalwa-Saconi' team for the NY Marathon.
The participants will run for the children of Shalua, and each runner will raise donations of a minimum of NIS 25,000 for the continuation of the organization's activities and the children of 'Shalwa' who receive all treatments and programs for free.
