Syrian players Ahmed Yasser Abu Jaish and Abdul Rahman Ammar Abu Zaid won two gold medals in the UAE Open Muay Thai Championship for juniors and youth.
The player Abu Jaish managed to win the gold in the weight of 54 kg in the category of 11 years, and the player Abu Zaid won the gold in the weight of over 63 kg in the category of 13 years.
The head of the Kickboxing and Muay Thai Federation, Manar Bazra, said in a statement to SANA that the tournament witnessed the participation of more than 350 male and female players representing 35 sports clubs in the UAE, adding that the participation of our players residing in the UAE in the tournament came because residents have the right to compete according to the conditions of its establishment.
Bazra pointed out that the two golds won by our players in the tournament are a message of confirmation that the Syrian sport and its champions are present in all fields and international championships.
