Hansi Flick has to announce his squad for the 2022 World Cup in a few days.
The national coach got a basket from a Bundesliga star.
Munich – You can now count the days until the 2022 World Cup starts in Qatar.
On November 20th the opening match between the hosts and Ecuador will take place.
The DFB team only starts the tournament a few days later with the game against Japan.
It is still questionable who will wear the DFB jersey in the desert.
Hansi Flick will announce the World Cup squad on November 10th.

Above all, the question of the left-back in the squad has not yet been finally clarified.
Robin Gosens recently admitted his World Cup ticket was in jeopardy.
David Raum has been in a form crisis since moving to RB Leipzig.
Christian Günter from SC Freiburg and Luca Netz from Borussia Mönchengladbach do not have the necessary international experience.

Hector?
The 32-year-old from Cologne officially ended his DFB career in October 2020 after 43 international matches, but Hansi's need is probably very great.
However, the 1. FC Köln left-back declined, even if he was said to have been flattered by the Flick call – no Hector comeback at the DFB!
The left foot was used at the 2016 European Championships, the 2017 Confederations Cup and the 2018 World Cup.

His club coach Steffen Baumgart commented on the subject at the press conference before Cologne's Conference League game against Nice.
“I was of course in the know about Jonas' decision regarding the World Cup in Qatar.
Jonas makes his own decisions and doesn't need any help," said the FC coach.

While one voluntarily does without the World Cup, another start will probably miss the desert tournament due to injury.
Marco Reus still has problems with his injured ankle and will not be able to play in BVB's final Champions League group game at FC Copenhagen, which means that the time until the World Cup is becoming ever shorter.

Flick had to submit a list of 55 names to FIFA by the end of October.
The picture supposedly leaked it and called it 44.
The DFB did not want to confirm the authenticity.
Among other things, Rani Khedira, the little brother of world champion Sami Khedira, should be on it.
