Basketball player Joshua Primo is being sued by his former psychologist, Hillary Cauthen, for alleged exhibitionism.

Cauthen also filed a lawsuit against joint former employers San Antonio Spurs, alleging that the NBA franchise ignored reports.

According to Cauthen's attorney Tony Buzbee, 19-year-old Primo has been accused of nine counts of exposing himself to the psychologist.

She is said to have subsequently contacted Spurs general manager Brian Wright.

However, their concerns were ignored.

Primo denied the allegations in a statement distributed through his attorney, William J. Briggs II: According to this, there was never a deliberate exposure, and Cauthen also never spoke to Primo about the athlete's supposedly inappropriate behavior.

Spurs first parted ways with Cauthen, then Primo

In July of this year, the San Antonio Spurs had initially separated from Cauthen.

Last Friday, the franchise then announced the separation from Primo without giving a reason.

The Canadian is considered a huge talent and had a decent debut season for the Texans.

In a statement after his release, Primo had referred to mental problems: "I know that you are all surprised by today's announcement," Primo wrote on Instagram.

"I have sought help to process a past trauma I suffered and will now use this time to focus more on my mental health treatment." Primo also asked that his privacy be respected.
