This victory was really important: The BC Attaching defeated the direct competitor VSST Günzlhofen and thus also won the direct comparison.

Attaching

– "It will be a six-point game," said Enes Mehmedovic, the coach of BC Attaching, before the game against VSST Günzlhofen.

Of course there are only three points per win in football, but it should be against the direct competitor.

The Attachinger mastered the pressure situation and got the upper hand 1-0 in a heated district league duel.

As a bonus for the success at the start of the second half of the season, there was victory in a direct comparison.

Red card plays Attaching into the cards

The Attachinger had won the first leg 2-0 - and they were the better team in the second meeting as well.

While Günzlhofen's offensive around the eight-time goal scorer Kelvin Gomez could not prevail, the BCA had two good opportunities.

Both through Maximilian Tessner – but the home team failed to score before the break.

Far into injury time in the first half, however, the chances of success increased because Qendrim Beqiri saw the red card for an assault.

The guests were missing one of their most important players.

For Attaching, the dismissal of the former regional league kicker meant a long majority.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Imouroine Ouro-Agouda does it

It took seven minutes after the change for the home team to take advantage: Imouroine Ouro-Agouda got the ball and hit the far corner with his left.

After the 1-0, however, the Attachinger found it difficult to play out clear actions on the deep underground.

"The last pass was missing," said Mehmedovic.

Günzlhofen stayed in the game and could have equalized with a good moment.

When Michael Zach saw the yellow-red card after a foul (82nd), the guests were only nine.

In the rest of the season, the BCA didn't let anything get in the way, also because the full-backs Manuel Thalhammer and Lukas Hübner played flawlessly.

Both unnerved Gomez, who changed sides during the game but never managed to assert himself decisively.

"Lukas and Manuel did a great job," praised coach Mehmedovic.

The season is still long.

But with the win against Günzlhofen, the BCA has the first joker in its pocket in the race to stay up.
