Hamburg/Erding

– Professional boxer Simon Zachenhuber gave an impressive performance at his first appearance for his new boxing stable P2M.

The 24-year-old knocked out Ali Hassan Zadeh from Cologne in the first round in front of 400 enthusiastic spectators at the Porsche Center in Hamburg on Saturday evening. "It was great fun boxing here in Hamburg," says a beaming Zachenhuber.

"All the trappings, the whole team, and of course the fight - everything was great."

Saturday morning we went on a short sightseeing tour through the Hanseatic city.

"We always go for a longer walk before the fight, and it was great that I also saw a bit of Hamburg," says Zachenhuber.

With his trainer Conny Mittermeier he had the perfect tourist guide at his side.

"Conny knows his way around Hamburg, he was at Universum for five years," says the 24-year-old Reisener, who says that he has gained a lot of impressions.

And the Reeperbahn?

"You weren't there," he says, laughing.

He was curious to see how his new P2M promoter team would present itself.

At first he was impressed by the Porsche Center, which was "really classy".

Six fights were on the program, life-size displays with photos of the fighters and information were placed for the information of the spectators.

"It was very well received," says Zachenhuber.

"Everything was really great, and it was a really, really great and absolutely successful event."

The Reisen middleweight had to get into the ring in his prestige fight against Iranian-born Ali Hassan Zadeh, who now has German citizenship and lives in Cologne.

Zachenhuber's dominance was visible right from the start, and he also had clear advantages in terms of body size and therefore range.

After a few heavy hits, Zadeh at least tried to save himself in the first break, but he didn't succeed.

After a heavy uppercut from Zachenhuber, his opponent went down and after 2:50 minutes the referee stopped the unequal duel.

In the five other fights - including two women's World Championship fights - the P2M athletes prevailed with one exception.

Only heavyweight Peter Kadiru lost - he was knocked out in the first round. Nina Meineke, Dilar Kisikyol and heavyweights Viktor Jurg and Felix Langberg remained victorious.

"I think that the viewers got their money's worth," summarizes Zachenhuber.

"I've already boxed a few events in this format, but it was extraordinary.

And he adds with a laugh, "But I still prefer the Erdinger ice rink with 2000 crazy - uh - celebrating Erdingers."
