After the retirement of Gal Mekel, the Israeli national team considered the identity of the next captain and after it was up in the air recently, this evening (Monday) it became official, when Tomer Ginat was appointed the new captain of the national team.
Ginat will lead Guy Goodes' team already this week, that the team will meet Slovenia and Sweden for a pair of games as part of the qualifiers for the World Championship that will be held next year.
