In Verrières-le-Buisson (Essonne), residents, sometimes centenarians, can take part in physical activity sessions if they wish.

The typical cry of the karateka launched by Christine Delattre resounds in the large room on the 1st floor of the residence "Le Bois" (Univi Group), one of the nursing homes for the elderly in Verrières-le-Buisson (Essonne).

On this beautiful sunny afternoon, it is in this unacademic way that the person in charge of the Animation and Social Life service of the establishment launches her session of activities.

Fifteen residents, including only two men, all there of their own free will, sit in their chairs in a large circle.

The youngest is 79 years old.

The two oldest are centenarians.

Let's go for a sports session really like no other.
