"Oh my, the Germans aren't thrilled": Hackl Schorsch is training the competition from now on

For decades, tobogganing and winter sports legend Hackl Schorsch delighted German sport, now he has switched to another association.

Berchtesgaden – He was a bench at the Olympics for over 14 years.

Winter sports legend Georg Hackl, whom everyone actually only knows as Hackl Schorsch, won three gold medals and two silver medals.

At the games in 1988 he was second best on the podium for the first time.

92, 94 and 98 then gold before he had the silver medal put on again in 2002.

In 2006 in Turin he got nothing.

His achievements also include 22 World Championship medals, including ten first places.

In addition to his numerous World Cup victories (33), he has also won the Wok World Championships initiated by Stefan Raab nine times and is the record holder there.

The Hackl Schorsch was known to a large number of people, even beyond national borders, and that is exactly what is now fatal for the German Winter Sports Association.

Because the now 56-year-old is causing a stir at another association.

Georg Hackl is now training the Austrians.

For many years, Hackl worked as a technical coach for his home country, but switched a few kilometers south on May 1st.

"Whoever is number two also wants to be number one," says Austria's luge boss Markus Prock, who was considered Hackl's toughest competitor during their joint career, according to krone.at.

A "sensational transfer" is what Hackl was able to do before he was considered a retired soldier.
