The district had set aside 57,600 euros in the 2022 budget to support sports and rifle clubs with their investments.

This time, that's easily enough to approve the requested grants.

Erding – The sports advisory board voted unanimously on Monday evening.

Around 52,300 euros would go to the clubs.

Now this still has to be approved by the youth welfare committee.

"I'm glad that we've invested so much in recent years and that our sports facilities are in such good shape," said District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer.

In 2018, for example, Erding had paid out 88,000 euros to the clubs – because more applications had been received.

Because this year, too, the clubs should be considered as well as the subsidy guidelines allow.

After all, there is always something to do, according to the district administrator, who saw it as "particularly gratifying" "that it is mainly about energy saving measures".

Several clubs are currently converting their floodlights to energy-saving LED lighting.

A total of eight clubs applied for grants for eleven projects this year.

According to Katrin Neueder from the district office, the subsidy for measures that only serve youth sports is 15 percent.

"For all other measures that primarily serve youth sports, up to 10 percent of the production costs or the purchase price proven by cost estimates.

The district pays a maximum of 15,000 euros per measure and no more than the club receives from the respective municipality.” Incidentally, most districts gave up subsidies for sports facilities as early as the 1990s, but Erding continues to support the clubs.

FC Fraunberg has also applied for follow-up financing, which had an additional cistern with a capacity of 52 cubic meters installed to irrigate the football fields and reactivated the surface water well.

“This means that no valuable drinking water is required for the irrigation system.

From an ecological point of view, this measure is exemplary,” says Neueder.

SV Hubertus Finsing should also get an additional payment because the expansion of the shooting range has become more expensive due to price increases.
