The police today (Thursday) arrested a suspect in throwing a smoke grenade at the Tel Aviv derby that took place last month at Bloomfield Stadium.
The district court reversed the decision and ordered the extension of his detention.
As part of an investigation conducted by the Crime Investigation Unit (CID) in the Yaftach area following the events of the game, the investigators, with the help of forensic evidence, were able to find the suspect in throwing an IDF smoke grenade.
The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Kfar Saba, was arrested for questioning at the end of which he was brought to a hearing at the Magistrate's Court yesterday at the request of the police to extend his detention.
At the end of the hearing, the court ordered the release of the suspect to house arrest and additional restrictions.
