The Golden State star who became the oldest player since Michael Jordan with two consecutive 40-point games so far sets career highs in points and field goal percentage

Golden State is starting to come back to itself.

After five consecutive losses, the champion beat Sacramento, and tonight (between Friday and Saturday) added a victory over one of the best teams in the league this season - Cleveland.

In both cases, it's a battle thanks to Stephen Curry's huge performances - against the Kings, who rains 47 points in 38 minutes, and against the Cubs, 40 points in 34 minutes.

In doing so, Steph became the oldest player since Michael Jordan in 2002 to score 40 or more points in two consecutive games.

He is also the first player in history to put up at least 40 points, 5 threes and 65 percent from the field or better in two consecutive games.

In both cases, Steph was there at Money Time.

Against Sacramento he scored nine points in the last two minutes, and against Cleveland, ten in the last minute and a half.

He is putting up 33.3 points per game so far this season (the highest average of his career), with almost impossible percentages: 53 from the field (the highest of his career), 44 from beyond the arc (the highest since 2015/16) and 91 from the line.

"I have a lot of confidence, I feel that I can do what I want," the star of the champion gloated after the game.

"The numbers look good, and I want to continue like this and see how long I can continue with it. I have a lot of confidence from the playoffs last season."

Even Steve Kerr didn't know his meeting with happiness: "Considering the circumstances, when our team was more or less in the hole, he was simply amazing. He's never been better. I'm running out of words to describe him, he's amazing - night after night. If anything One in which he has improved significantly compared to my first year with him, is his strength and the way he prepares for games. He is much stronger and bigger, able to maintain at a very high level, and finish near the ring."

"We had a great game plan until the last three minutes," admitted Cubs player Chris Levert.

"When you play against the Warriors you want the other players to beat you, but Steph scored 8-9 points at the end.

The Lakers' miserable start to the season continues.

Again without the injured LeBron James, the disappointment of the season surrendered 120:114 at the hands of Sacramento and it counts ten losses - five of them in a row - alongside only two victories.

"We must continue to work and find the right combinations," said Darwin Hamm, who shares with Houston the worst balance in the league.

Along the way, his players compared the worst start to the season in the club's history after 12 games (this was also the case in 1957/58 and 2015/16).

"It was a game we could have won," added the coach.

"But there were serious fouls and losses. In the end, we all have to be on the same page, and compete."

The bad news is that LeBron James will likely miss the game against Brooklyn as well.
