After a stuttering start to the season, Danny Avdia may be turning a new page.
Tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) the Israeli forward completed a second consecutive game in double figures, when he contributed 13 points along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a block, and helped Washington surprise Utah, the leader of the West, 112:121.
The Wizards recorded a third consecutive victory despite the absence of the sick Bradley Beal, and Avdia who started in the starting five continues to get more minutes, and more confidence.
Tonight he played 34 minutes - a season high - and while he was on the floor, Washington won by 22 points.
This happened also thanks to his defense, which continues to be reliable (The Athletic's Tony Jones, who covers Utah, was also impressed and tweeted that "Abadiah is a piece of guard over wing players"), but also thanks to the assertiveness he showed on the offensive side as well.
"I just play strong. I still feel that I can be more aggressive, but today I just took advantage of the opportunities that were given to me," Avdia said at the end about his offensive ability.
"I throw a lot every day, and work hard on it. I had a little trouble attacking at the beginning of the season, but it can happen. Sometimes there are ups and downs. I feel like I'm back in the rhythm, and I hope to continue with it."
"Danny Avdia a piece of fennel"
"You can see how Avdia's confidence is built"

He also reached 250 assists in the NBA
Can it last until the end of the season?
It still needs proof
Avdia finished the game with 4 of 6 from the field (including 1 of 2 from three), and 4 of 4 from the free throw line.
In one of the moves at the end of the last quarter, he identified a lane to the paint, tried to dunk and drew a foul, at a moment when he showed that he is already less hesitant than in other games this season, and provided a kind of answer to Zach Lowe, the senior commentator of ESPN who wrote last weekend that Avdia "lost his confidence".
He then hit both free throws, helping the Wizards pull away from the Jazz.
"Danny read the game well, made the right moves, kept strong," complimented Kristaps Porzingis, who scored 31 points, and was the standout.
"He was really good, and did everything Danny needs to do to have a good game. He's an important player for us, and we need him to maintain that level to be good. He's aware of that, and continues to work hard. I'm glad he had such a solid game ".
