FC Bayern Munich has extended the next contract ahead of time.
Defender Josip Stanisic is committed to the record champions until 2026.
Munich – Shortly before FC Bayern's guest appearance at promoted Schalke 04, the record champions committed another personal item to themselves in the long term.
Defender Josip Stanisic (22) extended his contract early until 2026. FCB announced this on its website on Saturday.

"Josip Stanisic has established himself in our professional squad over the past two years, and that is also an honor for the youth academy, because Josip was trained by us on campus," said sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (45), who thinks of Stanisic above all Appreciates variability: “It can be used in many different ways, it performs well when it is needed.

For Stanisic himself, the early contract extension is "a nice vote of confidence".
For him it is “a dream to be able to wear this jersey.
My goal is to win as many titles as possible with FC Bayern.” Stanisic was born in Munich, came from the youth team at SC Fürstenfeldbruck and switched to the B youth team at FC Bayern in 2017.
He has been playing for the professionals since 2021.
The Bayern bosses only extended the contract of substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich until 2024 on Friday.

Stanisic has made eleven appearances for Bayern Munich this season, mostly as a left or right defender.
Of these, however, only five were from the beginning.
In the Bundesliga Stanisic was not in a single game in the starting XI.
His unfortunate appearance as a joker in the top game at Borussia Dortmund (2-2) was remembered above all, when he was partly to blame for Borussia's last-minute equalizer.
But this bitter moment, which particularly annoyed CEO Oliver Kahn, seems to have been forgotten.
The Bayern bosses apparently trust Stanisic to make the big leap.
The record champions therefore rejected a transfer in the summer.
So far, however, Josip Stanisic has not (yet) gone beyond the role of supplementary player.
