Syria's first football team lost to its Algerian counterpart, 1-0, in a friendly match, which brought them together today at the Sharjah Club Stadium during the external training camp they are holding in the United Arab Emirates.

The game's only goal was scored by Hossam El Din Mreizk at the 72nd minute with a strong kick from outside the penalty area, and our team moved offensively in the last minutes, and our player Mohamed Al-Hallaq had two opportunities in which he was unable to modify the result, so the match ended with a goal for nothing.

Our team will meet in a second friendly match with its Belarusian counterpart next Thursday, while Venezuela will face Venezuela in a third friendly next Sunday.
