The first Bayernliga district derby of the season took place in Dorfen on Friday evening.

Dorfen/Erding – The host Ice Pirates had to admit defeat to the Erding Gladiators with 2:7 (1:1, 1:4, 0:2) goals in a game on a moderate level

Dorfen's coach Franz Steer was able to muster a goalkeeper and 14 field players, including two 17-year-olds, Sebastian Kosmann and Fabio Lauffer.

In addition, after Urban Sodja left, Dmytro Isaienko took the second position as a foreigner alongside Gaspr Susanj.

Erding's team boss Felix Schütz also had two 17-year-olds with him, Björn Salhi and Lukas Scheibengraber, but had a total of two goalkeepers and 19 field players at his disposal.

Due to the enormous crowd of spectators, over 600 visitors were finally in the hall, the game started a good ten minutes late - and then it was full time.

ESC goalkeeper Carsten Aurich defused a direct acceptance by Simon Franz (4th), on the other side Kosmann ran alone towards the Erdinger Tor, but shot past (5th).

Luckily, Dorfen survived the first shorthand and, thanks to Aurich, unscathed.

And as soon as the ice pirates were complete again, Reik Walter chased the puck into the net after a great back pass from Dario Braun to make it 1-0 (9th).

And so varied it went on.

Erding's Roni Rukajärvi hit the post (10'), Dorfen's Lauffer failed unchallenged by Thomas Hingel (12').

A controversial situation immediately before the third break: Erding's Dominik Wagner took aim, the puck landed in the net just as the siren sounded.

Main referee Sebastian Eisenhut ruled that the goal had come before the siren sounded, at 19:59 playing time, and awarded the goal.

At the beginning of the middle third, the Gladiators quickly set the course for victory: Rudi Lorenz (24th), Daniel Krzizok (27th) and Mark Waldhausen (29th) shot out a 4:1 lead within five minutes.

When Dorfen was outnumbered by five minutes, Erik Walter reduced the lead to 2:4 (32nd), but Philipp Michl destroyed Dorfen's vague hopes with the 5:2 (36th).

The final third was poor in highlights - the game was over.

The Ice Pirates fought to the end, but the Gladiators were now in control of the game.

With a great individual action, Ryan Murphy made it 6:2 (851st), and in the 57th minute the American made it 7:2.

That's it
