Despite the large financial investment and the promise to the fans that they will enjoy good conditions, the reality on the ground is completely different • Fans who were interviewed by "The Times" said, among other things: "The air conditioner in the bedroom barely works and sounds like a fighter plane taking off, even if you turn it on all the time during the day it is still stands at 27 degrees"

In a few days the first match in the World Cup will start in Qatar, but more and more evidence is flooding the network about the difficult conditions that awaited the fans in the special village that was established near the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.

In published photos, year rooms costing 300 dollars a night are seen as a place not suitable for sleeping when inside the cabins tiny air conditioning units are not able to cool the space during the day and cause noises too loud at night to be able to use them.

Throughout the village you can see the unfinished areas, the synthetic grass that looks ruined, large piles of rubble, along with abandoned forklifts, alongside mountains of garbage, exposed cables and pipes.

In addition, there are many complaints from fans about the fan village facilities when a tennis court, cinema and fitness center that are said to be available, are not being used properly.

The gym has minimal equipment of a few machines located outside the building with no sign of the tennis court or movie theater.

The latest pictures and footage of the accommodation awaiting fans who have spent thousands of dollars have caused many to compare the village to a detention center.

"It looks more like quarantine camp," one fan posted, "Fans paid money to get into quarantine," said another.

"It looks like a prison in Sweden."

The World Cup was already shrouded in controversy after Qatar was chosen as the 2022 host, but as the event got closer to opening the problems piled up.

Starting from cracks that appear outside the stadiums to turning the horse in the ban on selling beer in stadiums which was announced yesterday.
