Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving England and Manchester United.
Less than a week after the sensational interview he gave to journalist Piers Morgan, the captains of the Red Devils together with coach Erik ten Haag announced this evening (Tuesday) the release of the contract of the Portuguese phenomenon.
According to the official club's main message, the two sides reached a mutual agreement: "Both sides have agreed on the release of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract. All of us at Manchester United are focused on professional progress under Erik ten Haag and continue to work together to achieve victories later in the season."

"In the same interview, Ronaldo said, among other things: "The truth is, I just feel isolated.
Not only from the coach's side, but from a number of the management.
I just feel betrayed because some people didn't want me at the club not only this season, but also last season.
Coach Eric Ten Haah?
I have no respect for him because he does not respect me, and if you have no respect for me, I will never respect you."
The Portuguese phenomenon also said: "I felt the same way last year. United betrayed me, they simply turned me into the black sheep. Last summer, I followed my heart because Sir Alex Ferguson simply asked me to. He told me: 'It is impossible for you to go to Manchester City'. I told him, 'OK, boss'. But this club has not progressed at all, since Sir Alex left, nothing has changed here."
