One of the claims among the Premier League teams is that there are not enough Israelis.
Hapoel Holon has been looking for players in the forward and interior positions since the beginning of the season, Hapoel Jerusalem is in the race for an Israeli guard to replace the injured Noam Dovrat, and other teams would also be happy to get another local player.
Due to the sparseness of the local market, most of the teams in the Premier League are registering five foreigners this year, and we would not be surprised if by the end of the season the teams that have not yet done so, at least some, will join them.
One of the possible solutions is to take players from the national league whose goal is to allow the Israelis, especially the younger ones, to grow and develop and gain playing minutes and experience.
Here is a partial list of five players from the minor league who can make the jump and help teams in the top league already this season.
Shoham Gat, coordinator (20, 1.86 m)
The coordinator of Hapoel Habel Modiin and the reserve team received interest and offers from teams in the Premier League already in the summer, but decided to stay under the baton of Yehu Orland who has been guiding him since the days together in the youth team of Emek Hefer.
This season, the talented player averages 11.2 points, 8.1 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.

Eitan Borg, guard (20, 1.87 m)
The guard of Elitzur Netanya and the reserve team is one of the leading Israeli players in the league in the last two years, and in his case it can be assumed that the step up is just around the corner.
Until then, he stars in the diamond's young talent incubator and averages 17.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
According to reports, Hapoel Jerusalem checked about him, but Netanya refused to release him.

Eliad Tal, forward (20, 1.96 m)
The Hapoel RG forward is one of the intriguing names that landed with the Ordons in the last two years. The control of the ball, the ability to shoot outside the arc, the lack of fear on the court and the body structure that meets the requirements of a modern wing player - provide an interesting package for a young Israeli player. This season the reserve team player records averages of 10.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

Ben Sharaf, coordinator (16, 1.96 m)
Without a shadow of a doubt the most talked about player in the national league, and who was already marked in high school as one of the greatest talents that have emerged here in recent years, this summer chose a brave decision to skip his youth and sign his first professional contract in the project of Elitzur Netanya and a real player.
The center, another graduate of Emek Hefer's youth department, led the cadet team to the quarterfinals of the European Championship this summer, and in the minor league averages 10.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
We will hear a lot more about him.
Elijah Hirsch, forward-center (25, 2.03 m)
The oldest participant and the most mature and physically and professionally prepared player for the Premier League.
The citizen of Maccabi Ironi RG continued for another year with his team despite the great interest he aroused in the Premier League teams that need an Israeli tall like air to breathe. This season, Hirsch averages 14.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
