Maximilian Ulbrich had already presented himself in top form in the previous Bundesliga competition.

In the competition with table leader "Der Bund" Munich, the Wilzhofener achieved something that he had never managed before.

Wilzhofen

– Viewed soberly, the point that Maximilian Ulbrich scored for FSG Dießen in a duel against “Der Bund” Munich was worthless.

It was the only point gained, the air rifle team from Ammersee finally lost 1:4 against the leaders of the 1st Bundesliga South.

But the Wilzhofener in the service of Dießener had achieved something remarkable: For the first time in his career, the 22-year-old shot 400 rings in his career - more is not possible.

Maximilian Ulbrich scored an important point for Dießen against Fürth with 399 points

Already the day before he had proved his dazzling form.

Maximilian Ulbrich had scored 399 goals against SSG Dynamit-Fürth - as he had done against Niederlauterbach two weeks earlier - and thus achieved a world-class performance.

And in contrast to the duel with Munich, the point he scored against Fürth was crucial.

The Dießener won narrowly with 3:2.

Although they slipped down to tenth place in the twelve-team league, Dießener (6:12 points) have already achieved an interim goal: they can no longer be relegated directly.

In the worst case, there is still a risk of slipping down to relegation place eleven, which Brigachtal currently occupies (4:12).

Dießen air rifle team against Fürth under pressure

The conditions under which the FSG had to contest their two competitions were not the best.

With the Indian Shreya Agrawal and the Italian Nicole Gabrielli, both foreign players were not available.

On top of that, Ines Maierhofer was absent at short notice due to illness.

After the unexpected defeat against Niederlauterbach, the Dießen team was already under more pressure than they had hoped.

Due to the table constellation, at least one win had to be achieved from the two duels - and that, even though the Diessener went into both clashes as outsiders.

In addition to Maximilian Ulbrich, his younger brother Johannes also competed in both competitions.

Maximilian Ulbrich is in world-class form against Fürth and Munich

In the first duel against Fürth, FSG managed to take the pressure off the boiler.

Against the Middle Franconia, who had a solid place in the midfield of the 1st Bundesliga South before this competition with 8:10 points, the Dießener achieved "an extremely important victory", as Johannes Ulbrich, the father of Maximilian and Johannes, reported.

Unfortunately, Johannes Ulbrich, who shot in fifth place, could not quite match his result from the previous competition against Kronau (390 points).

This time he had 388 points and had to admit defeat to Maximilian Wolf (395).

Maximilian Ulbrich was completely different: he scored 399 points, which his father classified as “world class”.

He kept the Fürth Dominik Fischer (394) at a safe distance.

Ulbrich keeps his nerve - and the hall is raging

The next day against "Der Bund" Munich, it quickly turned out that the Dießen team had no chance against the league leaders.

Johannes Ulbrich experienced a drop in performance.

With his 384 points, he didn't have the slightest chance of making his duel against Daniel Karg (396) a success.

His teammates Sanktjohanser (388), Grimm (391) and Silvia Rachl (392) fared no better.

But then came the great performance of Maximilian Ulbrich, who shot perfectly in first place and scored the optimum of 400 points.

After his 38th shot the day before was a 9.9, this time he had his nerve under control and made the 400 safely home.

"The whole hall was raging," reported Alois Ulbrich.

But that was not only the merit of his son:
