At 30 years old.
That is 19 years older than her runner-up, Tya Zebrowski, a true prodigy on the boards.
So much so that despite her young age, the native of Bayonne, as a great competitor that she already is, admitted
"to have been disappointed"
by the result.
“It came to nothing. At the last minute, I took a last wave but so did my opponent and that's where she managed to make the difference. I was not very happy either because I had the feeling of not having shown my surfing in this final, as I had done in the previous rounds.
