Stamp on time. Boston hosted Philadelphia tonight (Sunday through Monday) for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs, and celebrated with a huge 88:112, signed by only one man: Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics star sniped, bombed, bombed — whatever you want to say about his performance would fit — 51 points, which equals a new playoff record for Game 7 and, of course, a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals against Miami, for a spot in the NBA Finals.
The game was still tight until the third quarter, but then came a 3-28 run that sealed the story. Boston finished an incredible quarter with 10:33 to play, and Tatum scored 17 points alone.

Alongside Tatum, Jaylen Brown scored 25 points. On the disappointed side, MVP Joel Embiid is once again going home early, capping off a particularly frustrating night of just 15 points. James Harden, the star alongside him and perhaps in his last game in Philly, scored 9.
