At the weekend, Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg relaxed in his Monegasque homeland, more precisely in the football stadium at the AS Monaco match.
Monaco - After the Miami Grand Prix, the twenty Formula 1 drivers returned to their respective homes. With Nico Hulkenberg, Germany has only one regular German driver after the retirement of Sebastian Vettel and the downgrading of Mick Schumacher to reserve driver. However, he does not reside in the Federal Republic of Germany – he was photographed in his homeland on Sunday in the football stadium in his adopted country.

Nico Hulkenberg has been living abroad for years - Formula 1 driver attended AS Monaco match
Actually, Hülkenberg comes from Emmerich am Rhein, just before the Dutch border. In Germany, however, he doesn't seem to like it as much as elsewhere. The 35-year-old already lived in Switzerland and moved to the Principality of Monaco in 2015. Since then, the Haas driver has resided in the luxurious city-state on the French Mediterranean coast.
Hulkenberg is apparently also a football fan, as the Formula 1 driver watched AS Monaco's Ligue 1 match on Sunday, which did not get beyond a goalless draw in the duel against Lille. Coach Philippe Clement's team must therefore be careful not to be ousted from the safe Europa League fourth place in the next three games.

Some of the Monegasque players are known to him, as FC Bayern loanee Alexander Nübel, ex-Cologne player Ismail Jakobs and ex-DFB striker Kevin Volland, who was not in the squad, are part of the legendary Germany regulars' table, just like Hülkenberg. Entrepreneur Robert Geiss and Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev are also regular guests.
The club apparently knew that Hülkenberg was a real celebrity sitting in the stands, which is why the pilot accepted a small gift. The "Hulk" held a white Monaco jersey in front of the camera, smiling happily, printed with his surname in capital letters and 27 – his legendary start number.
