Victor Wembanyama is knighted. The Metropolitans 92 player will join San Antonio for the next NBA season, much to the delight of Tony Parker. The Spurs legend posted a message on his social media channels, "Yesss, he's coming to Spurs!!! Unbelievable, so proud of you Wemby," he said on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of Victor Wembanyama as a child wearing the jersey of his future franchise.

Since that night and the NBA lottery draw, there is little doubt about the next Wemby team. San Antonio will have the first pick of the draft and will undoubtedly choose will be the French player. He will join the franchise where Tony Parker spent 17 seasons and won the league four times.

In 2021, Wemby left his training club of Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) to join Asvel, in Villeurbanne (RhĂ´ne), the "TP" club. But the story had ended after only one season.
