The decision was expected, it fell on Wednesday. The French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) has formalized the four-year suspension of French sprinter Amaury Golitin (26) for non-compliance with his whereabouts obligations and falsification of documents. The sanction was the subject of an agreement between Golitin and the AFLD, which initially faced a five-year suspension.
The 100-meter specialist, who was one of the main members of the French 4x100, was already provisionally deprived of competitions since June 2022. This decision of the AFLD will deprive him of the worlds in Budapest, scheduled this summer, then the Olympic Games of Paris 2024. He will not be able to compete again until June 2026.

Golitin had acknowledged not having transmitted his location information three times in the time allotted in the columns of L'Equipe on March 16, 2023. The first foul took place in the first quarter of 2021, the second during a competition with the France team in Poland, in early May 2021, during which he did not change his place of residence, supposed to be at INSEP.
Finally, the third is dated June 17, 2021. An AFLD controller wanted to carry out an unannounced check at INSEP, where the sprinter was to be. The latter was not on the scene, he then arrived late to the control. He confessed to having tried to thwart this third breach by falsifying his taxi and bank records and by advancing a personal emergency.
