Brentford striker Ivan Toney was banned from football for eight months on Wednesday for involvement in a Premier League betting scandal. The 27-year-old will not be able to play for the club or his home country until his suspension ends on January 16, 2024.
The fiery striker, who has scored 21 goals in 35 appearances for Brentford this season and has been in high demand in the Premier League, is unlikely to leave the club this summer as the teams courting him are likely to shy away from the heavy punishment.
