Thomas Müller swears Bayern fans to fight for the championship against BVB
Thomas Müller is known as a player of clear words and usually does not mince his words. After Bayern's bitter defeat against Leipzig, the original Bavarian went ruthlessly into the analysis, but did not want to give in in the championship fight against Dortmund for a long time.
"I want to get away from the game. We have to take this blow now, it's still a week, we have another game next week. If we win this game, Dortmund will be under a lot of pressure. They have to win both games and I want to see that first," Müller looked ahead to the last matchday and teased BVB a little in the run-up. "If they do that, then I congratulate them kindly. But until then, we have to stick to ourselves and get three points." One day after the slip-up against Leipzig, the 33-year-old renewed his belief in the league title and addressed the Bayern fans in an emotional letter including an apology.

"It's not the time to look back – one more week of full concentration and we'll have the chance to win the league," Müller wrote on Instagram, choosing words similar to those used after the final whistle at Munich's Allianz Arena. This time, however, the original Bavarian also takes the FCB fans on board and apologizes for the performance against the Saxons.
"To be honest, I'm sorry for all Bayern fans. Our second half yesterday was shockingly bad," Müller said in the direction of Bayern fans, who fled the Allianz Arena before the final whistle. But now it's time to stick together for another week. Everything is possible. FC Bayern have to play at 34. FC Köln on Matchday 1, while Dortmund awaits Mainz at home with four defeats in their luggage.

In the mixed zone, Müller also reaffirmed his will to bring the eleventh German championship in a row to Munich after the end of the game: "I'm really convinced right now: If we put everything into this last matchday, then I've already experienced enough - mainly, of course, as a fan, when the championships were very close every year and were decided on the last matchday." However, these statements were made before Dortmund's victory in Augsburg. After the game, BVB star Julian Brandt countered the previous Müller taunt. (ck)
