The final count is launched. In one hundred days, on September 8 at the end of the day, the Stade de France will host the opening ceremony of the 10th Rugby World Cup followed by the dream opening match, the perfect gala poster: France-New Zealand. The kick-off of 51 days of competition for 48 matches in nine stadiums in France (10 at the Stade de France and 38 in the provinces). A global event, but also national, "anchored in the terroirs and on all the territories," says Jacques Rivoal, the president of the organizing committee of France 2023. And to rejoice in "the mobilization of communities" by promising "a great popular festival for two months". Each host city will host rugby villages (the equivalent of fan zones). In Paris, for example, it will be on the Place de la Concorde (capacity: 10,000 people) and, in Toulouse, at the Prairie des Filtres (40,000 people...).
