After being officially introduced in Serbia as coach of Red Star Belgrade earlier this week, Barak Bachar took the time on Tuesday night to convey his impressions and teachings to the local media as well.
"It wasn't an easy decision for me to come here, because in Israel I was very successful and I was like a king for the past three years," Behar began honestly, "I chose not to stay in my comfort zone. I'm not nervous, but really excited about my start here. I decided to challenge myself and open up a new grief in my career. That was something very important to me."
"This is a new country for me, a new language, so I'll have to get used to it very quickly. I know I don't have time and need to deliver results as soon as possible. I definitely believe the results will come my way. We will all work hard to play attractive football, I definitely think the fans will love what they see on the pitch."
On the fans he met at the start of last season in the Champions League: "I remember the fans were amazing and gave a concert in the stands. It was very difficult for us to play against them. I see the stadium, the fans and that impresses me a lot. I can't wait to get to work. I know the squad well, I signed over a month ago and we've already started working together with the whole team and management."
