It's getting closer. Daniel Peretz's transfer deal from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Bayern Munich is expected to close in the next two days. The goalkeeper appeared to make his last appearance for the Yellows, who beat AEK Larnaca on their way to the Conference League play-offs. Peretz's English agent has already agreed the terms of his contract with the German luxury club, and after approval from Maccabi owner Mitch Goldhar, the deal will be signed, and Peretz will fly to Germany to undergo medical tests and officially sign the contract.
According to reports across Europe, Bayern is set to pay Maccabi Tel Aviv about 4.5 million euros, not including bonuses, with Perez expected to sign a four-season contract at the Allianz Arena and back Manuel Neuer, who is still recovering from a long injury, and Sven Ulreich, who currently serves as the Bundesliga champions' first goalkeeper in the last 4 seasons.

After the match against Larnaca, Perez went to goal 11 and told the fans: "I love you so much and have been attached to you since my first day here. I grew up here since I was 5 years old, it's my home. From the first moment in Bloomfield I felt connected and this is thanks to you. I love you."
Eran Zahavi, who scored Maccabi Tel Aviv's winning goal tonight, spoke after the game about Peretz's expected departure, saying: "If Daniel Peretz moves to Bayern, I will be happy for him and sad for us. A move from Maccabi to Bayern is really something special and I applaud him wholeheartedly if and when it happens. He is a personality and an example in the dressing room. I really like people like that. It's not in my hands and I can't know what will happen." Yellows coach Robbie Keane tried to maintain ambiguity, adding: "Daniel Peretz is a Maccabi Tel Aviv player and that's how it should be treated. They didn't tell me otherwise."
