The Israeli national team decided to remove striker Shaun Wiseman from the squad for tonight's (21:45) Romania game. The reason: the way he celebrated the goal he scored in the 1-1 win against Switzerland. Granada's player apologized for the emotions he issued after scoring, including the silencing gesture and the curse he filtered in Hebrew, but apparently this did not satisfy professional manager Yossi Benayoun and coach Alon Hazan.
At the professional level, the Spanish Granada player played only ten minutes in the last two games and nevertheless scored the team's only goal against Kosovo and Switzerland. However, tonight he will see the game from the stands. In addition to Weissman, the injured Sagiv Yehezkel and Gil Cohen, Eden Kartsev, Ofri Arad, Stav Lemkin and Dean David will also not dress for the game.
And who is expected to play? The composition of the team is quite closed. Eli Dassa and Ofir Davidzadeh are expected to continue as defenders, while Miguel Vitor will return to the centre of defence along with Sean Goldberg. The only dilemma remained between Mohammed Abu Fani and Neta Lavie, but the tendency to continue with the latter, despite starting both games against Kosovo and Switzerland. Dor Turgeman, Oscar Gloch, Anan Halaili, and Eran Zahavi are expected to form the forward squad.
