A year after Qatar allowed thousands of tourists and hundreds of journalists from Israel to attend the World Cup, it seems that an iron sword war is taking its toll, and the country will not allow it to do so at the World Water Championships this February.
Yesterday (Friday), the organizing committee launched vacation packages in cooperation with 15 hotels, directing tourists to apply for visas to the country, but surprisingly, it is not possible to obtain the entry visa for Israelis.
It is important to note that according to Israel Hayom, Qatar does not currently make it difficult for Israeli athletes to register, but as stated, their participation is questionable, due to the sensitive destination and the many security problems.

Meanwhile, the European Water Sports Association announced that the European Water Polo Championship, which was supposed to take place in January at the Wingate Institute in Netanya, will be held in two different countries. The women's tournament will take place in the Netherlands from January 5, with the men's tournament kicking off in Croatia the day before. At this championship it will be possible to set the criteria for the World Cup in Qatar.
EU Chairman Antonio Silva said of the decision: "We had to postpone the European Championship in Netanya because of the terrorist attack against the Israeli people. I am happy that we managed to get two great hosts and I would like to thank our associations in Croatia and the Netherlands for doing everything possible to make these championships take place for the athletes. Working together, we will organize these events in the best possible way."
