Hundreds of demonstrators, Jews and Arabs, protested Saturday at Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv, calling for an end to the war and a deal to return all the hostages and captives in exchange for prisoners. The Israeli police prepared for the demonstration with reinforced forces, including Border Police forces, a cavalry unit, when the demonstration area was fenced off and the officers checked the demonstrators' equipment before entering, but together they were people passing by the area who were angry at the demonstration and threw objects at the demonstrators and cursed them.
Yousef Haddad, one of the country's most prominent media figures, posted a story on Instagram in which he strongly criticized them, writing: "Allowing extremists to hold a demonstration in Tel Aviv against the war only 6 weeks after mortal terrorists massacred us and caused us the greatest disaster in the country, and when there are still 240 abductees in Gaza, then it is lax."

One person who usually does not speak out on issues unrelated to sports but could not remain silent this time is the greatest symbol in the history of Maccabi Tel Aviv – Avi Nemani, who wrote: "Unfortunately, we are our real enemies. The State of Israel gives legitimacy to left-wing extremists to betray the State of Israel time and time again under the auspices of democracy."
