The reverberations surrounding the press conference in which Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving appeared with a keffiyeh on her head don't stop. While this wasn't the first time the controversial NBA player (who believes the earth is flat) has expressed support for the Palestinians, the war is apparently doing its job.

The person who was quick to respond to Irving's remarks and appearance was Maccabi Haifa soccer team player Dolev Haziza, who attacked in a story he posted on Instagram. He tagged Irving and wrote in English: "You piece of shit. I wish one day Hamas would knock on your door." He also added a vomiting emoji.
Although it is highly doubtful that Haziza's angry protest will reach Irving's eyes (and if he does, he probably will not respond), social networks will continue to be a "war zone" in Israeli public diplomacy, and the athletes in Blue and White are unlikely to remain silent.
