Every person has a hero, one who inspires him, who he sees and tries to be a little like him, to learn from him. Football players are no different from all people, even if they are among the best ever. This can be seen from a recent interview conducted by Manchester City striker Erling Haalad.
Holland was interviewed by Norwegian Channel 2, where he was asked about his head game which has improved a lot over time, while one in 10 of his first 185 goals have been scored with his head, among his last 45 goals about a quarter have been scored with a bang.
"I remember watching Cristiano on YouTube and noticing his movements in the square. He would make two or three deceptions before attacking the space he wanted to be. It's kind of a duel in this situation with the defense. It's important to time it perfectly. Ronaldo is my main inspiration."
Asked why he got where he was and how he handled the pressure, the Norwegian said: "I just always did it, playing football and trusting my instincts. Ever since I was little. I try to be as normal as possible, even if it's a little different."
