The cricket World Cup final between Britain and India, held in the city of Ahmedabad, was interrupted on Sunday by a pro-Palestinian protester who stormed the pitch. The demonstrator, who wore a shirt reading "FREE PALESTINE" and a mask in the colors of the Palestinian flag, managed to enter the field of play and even grab Wirt Kohli, the biggest star of the Indian national team. The game was halted for several minutes, until the protester was repelled by security forces
At the end of the event, the match continued in front of 130,<> spectators who completely filled the stadium named after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But it was not only the spectators in the stadium who watched the protester's protest, because although cricket is not a well-known game in Israel, it has hundreds of millions of fans around the world (mainly in the British Commonwealth countries), and it is considered one of the most watched sporting events in the world.
