Israeli athletes, in Israel and around the world, are doing everything possible to serve as the country's information ministers, with one of their main goals being to raise awareness of the 236 abductees still held by the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza since October 7, the Saturday when the barbaric massacre took place in the communities near the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, we saw the moving video uploaded by Red Star Belgrade coach Barak Bahar, who spoke on behalf of 8-year-old Yuval, one of the abductees, and presented his picture. Now he is joined, in his own way, by Omar Atzili, Al Ain's player from the Emirates League, in a gesture on Instagram.
On Monday morning, he posted a story calling on everyone to imitate him and replace his profile picture with that of one or one of the abductees, and of course he quickly set an example, replacing his picture with that of Ariel Koenig, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be'eri, along with his brother David, his sister-in-law Sharon and his twin nieces, Emma and Yuli.
