The Washington Wizards will try to get just their third win in 14 games this season when they host the Charlotte Hornets. The D.C. team has been ridiculed in recent weeks since the season began and after just one month has passed, Bleacher Report has made a power ranking of the league's top five teams so far, with the Wizards' quintet ranked 27th, with only the San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trailblazers and Detroit Pistons behind it.
Amid all the chaos on Wes Unseld Jr.'s team, Dani Avdía, who received a four-year contract just days before the season opened for about $4 million, received compliments in the Wizards' analysis. "After Bradley Beal's departure, you would think the spotlight would go towards Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, with the former having a particularly hard time, rather than the latter. Tyus Jones and Daniel Gafford at least live up to their expectations. The one and only bright spot here is Dani Avdía, who may have found an opportunity in a hopeless place as he achieves personal highs in points, shooting and widening the gap between assists and turnovers."

Avdija is averaging 13.27 minutes, 5.12 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists so far this season on 6.53% from the field, 2% from three and 41.77% from the free-throw line.
