Highlights: "If the club and its people justify the continuation of the Gaza war, we will be forced, in accordance with our values, to stop belonging to it," says a letter from fans of Set. Pauli. "The club has not taken a stand on behalf of Palestinian citizens who have been under constant siege for 14 years," says another letter. "We condemn religious fundamentalism, human rights violations and the indescribable cruelty of the Hamas regime," says the letter from the International Supporters. "After the statement by the member clubs, we decided to suspend all activity," adds another letter from supporters.

Several of the clubs of the team's fans from the second division in Germany announced that they were ceasing their activities • "If the club and its people justify the continuation of the massacre in Gaza, unfortunately we will be forced, in accordance with our values, to stop belonging to it" • The board of directors is trying to mediate between the parties, but at the moment the distance is great

Like quite a few clubs in Germany, already on October 7. After the Hamas attack, she published a set. Pauli issued a statement condemning the events and expressing solidarity with Hapoel Tel Aviv: "We condemn religious fundamentalism, human rights violations and the indescribable cruelty of the Hamas regime," it said.

Soon after, several international fan clubs of the team expressed on social media their dissatisfaction with Set's sympathy. Pauli addressed Israel, and three days later, on October 10, 14 of them signed a letter of response.

"The club has not taken a stand on behalf of Palestinian citizens who have lived under constant siege for 14 years," said the letter from the International Supporters, who declared themselves understanding that "Germany's relations with Israel are delicate" but at the same time demanded a "change of mind" at the club.

In response to the letter from the international fan clubs, the "Coordinator of Activity of the Fan Clubs" of the team issued a letter of his own: "Several fan clubs have crossed the border," which reads: "The reduction and legitimacy of Hamas terrorist attacks is an opinion that we support and which is completely unacceptable."

As a result, in recent days many fan clubs of Set. Pauli, like the Basques or Catalans, announced their departure or, at the very least, the end of operations. "If the club and its people justify the continuation of the massacre in Gaza, unfortunately we will be compelled, in accordance with our values, to stop belonging to it," Bilbao said in a statement. "After the statement by the coordinator of the activities of the fan clubs, who accused us of legitimizing the murderers of Hamas, we decided to suspend all activity," added one from Barcelona.

Board of Directors of St. Pauli tries to mediate, they promised a meeting with the international fan clubs at the end of the season, but today the distance between the sides seems impassable.
