Even before signing the Portuguese in the summer of 2018, the Old Lady was targeting a big, young talent named Erling Haaland, Matteo Tavinuzzi, who recently headed Juve's scouting department and now holds a similar role in Sean Wiseman's Spanish Granada team, revealed on Wednesday.
"We were one step away from signing a signal in November 2017," Toinozi said of the wonderful Norwegian striker who was 17 at the time, "It was about to close, but at that time he could only play in the youth team and the deal seemed too expensive to us. He didn't even start at Molde at the time, and only after a few weeks we suddenly saw that he was starting to play and score in the senior team."
Tuinozi said that Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid's current star, should have been a Juventus player at the age of 16: "It was close to closing in 2019, we had already met with his family, but he chose to continue developing in Birmingham. I will meet him soon when we play (Granada) at the Bernabeu."
