"I've been in basketball for more than 20 years, and I've never seen anything like it. I've never seen a secretariat in my life say to someone in the group, "you. I've never seen anything like it in my life," is how former Greek star and coach Peristeri Vassilis Spanoulis opened the press conference held immediately after his team beat Falko Szombathi in the FIBA Champions League
The coach, who reacted angrily to a curse from the secretariat and was ejected from the game after suffering a second technical foul, explained what happened: "I only asked the secretariat guy for a timeout if Falco scored, and he gave me a timeout without them scoring anyway. I asked him, "Why did you take a break?" and he just said, "you." I think it's a shame for basketball, it's a shame for that person, and it's also a shame for Falco, which is a great organization with good people. This has never happened to me and I hope it never happens again."

Peristeri, who led Spanoulis by 13 points, struggled mightily until the end of the game but eventually managed to win 87-90 and move up to second place at home. Ex Hapoel Holon Joe Ragland led the team's scorers with 16 points and 8 assists in 30 minutes on the court.
