Hapoel Holon will host Rio Brogan tonight (Wednesday) from Lugogan, Spain. Already yesterday it seemed that the game would not go quietly and pro-Palestinian demonstrations began in the city, but now the fear of disruption to the game is escalating.
Last night, Rio Brogan announced that for fear of disturbing public order, Palestinian flags or posters with pictures of children from Gaza killed in the war would not be allowed: "After previous talks with the security forces and the competition management itself, it is forbidden to install and bring in posters, flags, symbols or other signs related to the Gaza war, as they may disrupt public order," the club said in a statement.
Fans of the team did not like the move, reacting angrily on social media: "I had a ticket to the game, but I will not attend the game after this shameful announcement." wrote one.
Even worse, graffiti was spray-painted on the host group's operational vehicles during the morning with the slogan "Palestina libre."
