After last week's narrow victory over Fenerbahce, Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Barcelona tomorrow (Thursday) at the Pioneer Arena in Belgrade, with Oded Katsch expected to have a full squad at his disposal, however, the Catalans have problems that will surely please the Yellows.
According to a report in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will go into tomorrow's game in Belgrade without Czech center Jan Vesely and Lithuanian point guard Rokas Jokubaitis who are suffering from injuries. Wesley, who started the season well and is averaging 11.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, will be sorely missed by Roger Grimeau, as he is one of only three players on the roster to score in double digits along with Willy Hernangomez and Nikola Laprovitola. Jokubaitis also occupies a respectable volume in the rotation and plays about 18 minutes per night, scoring 6.6 points and dishing out 3 assists. Those who entered the squad in place of the two injured men are 18-year-olds Dame Sarr and Kasper Yakukionis.
