In the European basketball magazine "Basket News" today (Thursday) they made a comparison between the Euroleague teams, and checked who has the most local players on the roster.
As expected, Maccabi Tel Aviv, with only five Israelis, is at the bottom.
As mentioned, the Yellows have five locals in the squad, two of them are citizens (John DiBartholomew and Jake Cohen), and the players in blue and white play a total of 21.1% of the team's playing minutes since the beginning of the season.
Only in Fenerbahçe (9.6%), Anadolu Efes (7.9%) and Baskonia (3.9%) do the locals play less.
Zalgiris Kovna with nine Lithuanian players leads the table together with Alba Berlin (nine Germans).
Right after them, with eight strangers each, are Red Star Belgrade, Panathinaikos and Anadolu Efes.
Partizan Belgrade and Milan have seven locals in the squad.

However, the amount of players doesn't necessarily translate to significant playing time.
For example, despite having eight locals, Anadolu Efes has given Turkish players only 7.9% of its total minutes since the start of the Euroleague season.
Another interesting statistic is that all 4 teams that close the table in the Euroleague, Alba Berlin, Villarreal, Zalgiris and Anadolu Efes, are at the top of the table of local players who are in the squad.
