According to the numbers and statistics, Wade Baldwin experienced a decline in his personal ability, certainly compared to last season.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv guard scores 15.2 points this season, to which he adds 4.8 assists on average per game in the EuroLeague.
Last season, however, he scored 17.2 points and handed out 5.1 assists per game.
Also yesterday (Thursday), in the loss to Olympiakos, Baldwin was not one of the best on the floor, and in his minutes on the court the Yellows lost by no less than 20 points.
But apparently none of this really hurts Baldwin's self-confidence, who provided "Basketnews" with a number of interesting quotes at the end of the game.
"This is just another season in which I am one of the leading guards in the Euroleague."
Baldwin assessed: "This is the fourth year that I am one of the best players in Europe. My game is developing, and I am the leader of this team. I think I show stability as one of the best players in the league."
Later, Baldwin referred to the conditions he won in Belgrade, calling them "excellent", but despite this he added: "We have the least resources of all the Euroleague teams, and we have a 10:12 record. We have over 50 percent success, and we are fighting for the playoffs . So what should we be angry about?"
Finally, Baldwin referred to the fact that they are forced to play in Serbia and not in Israel: "We are in a difficult situation. Our audience is not with us, but that's what the Israeli league is for. We play with some inherent disadvantages, but we found a way to win games and compete. Maccabi fans support us In full form. Sometimes it's more stressful than playing for some Greek team."
