Felix Neureuther and Bastian Schweinsteiger spend the days before the Streif in Kitzbühel on the slopes.
However, they make a mistake when stopping for a break.
Kitzbühel – The Streif is calling.
Next weekend (January 19th - 21st) the elite of skiing will meet in Kitzbühel for the highlight of the season.
Things get hot off the slopes too.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Andreas Gabalier, Victoria Swarovski, ... the line-up of stars in Kitzbühel is enormous and ranges from Hollywood stars to former sports legends.
Before Streif in Kitzbühel: Neureuther and Schweinsteiger skiing together
The latter also includes Felix Neureuther and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The former ski star competed regularly in Kitzbühel until the end of his career in 2019, and even celebrated his first World Cup victory in the slalom on the Ganslernhang in 2010.
Neureuther repeated the coup in 2014.
Soccer world champion Schweinsteiger also ended his career in 2019.
Since then, the 39-year-old has been seen on the ski slopes more and more often.
This was also the case on these days in Kitzbühel – together with my friend Neureuther.
The two posted pictures and videos from their day of skiing together on their social media channels on Wednesday.

Perfect preparation for the race weekend,” writes Neureuther in the article.

Neureuther comments on Schweinsteiger's skiing skills
In the published video you can see the 39-year-old conquering the slopes behind Schweinsteiger and filming his friend.
Meanwhile, the former ski professional doesn't miss the opportunity to comment on the soccer world champion's turns.
“Huge, this up and down movement: like back in the good old days, when the skis were still two meters,” says Neureuther, visibly amused, describing Schweinsteiger’s skiing style.
The Bayern legend is considered an excellent skier.
As a teenager, the future professional footballer raced himself and, according to his own statement, beat Neureuther, who was also born in 1984, a few times.
However, when he was 13, Schweinsteiger decided to take up football.

Schweinsteiger and Neureuther eating white sausage – fan notices faux pas
In the other pictures from Wednesday you can see Schweinsteiger and Neureuther eating white sausage and burgers.
However, one detail particularly catches the eye of a fan.
Schweinsteiger contents himself with a cup of tea over a white sausage breakfast together.
The user writes: “Weißwurst with tea is borderline.” In Bavaria or Austria it is not uncommon to enjoy a (non-alcoholic) wheat beer with the white sausages.
The two friends' post didn't go unnoticed by some celebrities either.
Thomas Müller commented, “Unbeatable, you two legends,” while Kai Pflaume wrote full of anticipation: “I’m looking forward to seeing you.” Also Ameli Neureuther, sister of Felix, commentator Bernd Schmelzer and ex-ski professional Lucas Braathen, whose career ended in Neureuther stunned, commented on the post.
Neureuther himself will accompany the races in Kitzbühel as an ARD expert, while Schweinsteiger will probably make himself comfortable in the stands.
